THREE of Berwick's favourite bands have been invited to perform at the Czech Republic's largest open air festival later this month.
Around 30,000 people are expected to attend the Happy Days Open Air Festival in the Bohemian town of Hradec Kralove on Saturday, July 26.
Local bands Espionage of the Loc, The Local Villains and Ordinaryson were contacted after festival organisers heard their music over the internet.
"A friend from Prague contacted me looking for acts for this huge festival," explained Alan Thompson from music Management Company Travelled Music.
"I told him about the fantastic music scene in Berwick and he was very impressed.
"The talented musicians will have a great chance to develop a new fan base across mainland Europe and with several leading music publishers and record labels attending the event the opportunity may lead to great success."
Meanwhile, live performances from Espionage of the Loc and Ordinaryson will take place in the basement at Barrels Alehouse on Friday, July 4.
